MOJOMO!

MOJOMO! has been making a musical impact on audiences in the PA, NJ and NY metro area in recent years. Their music makes you get on your feet, makes you listen and makes you groove. And groove is at the heart of their music. Their live performances punctuate their high voltage, unique style of funk/rock/jam/jazz fusion.

Based in the Pocono Mountains, the band is comprised of journeymen musicians from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania who have paid their dues over the years. The musicians, Ron Richardson, Ruben Ariola, Rick Belza, Bill Coleman and David Anderson have performed with and accompanied many artists over the years regionally, nationally and internationally.

The release of their EP, Trippin’ for Biscuits, provides a gamut of styles from downright nasty funk to soul-dripping ballad to full out rock. According to Drum Magazine, "Mojomo’s recent release, the soulful, psychedelic Trippin for Biscuits, you really hear the influence of Zigaboo (Modeliste) in the widely swung beats and greasy grooves." The Pocono Record called the music of MOJOMO! “a gumbo of funk, rock, jazz, blues, swamp boogie, gospel and jam syncopated to perfection."

MOJOMO! is spreading their funky message at festivals and clubs. The music is contagious with a blend of down home second line funk, rock, jazz with a good helping of improvisation thrown into the mix. Their groove is infectious and will get you on your feet. The music will take over the rest of your body. The only cure is more MOJOMO!
